How farm value added, employment and labour productivity changed across EU regions, and what a different post-2027 CAP budget mix could mean for them.
As part of the Horizon Europe project LAMASUS, we compiled farm value added, employment and labour productivity growth, and the productivity level, for 955 EU NUTS-3 regions over two periods: 2010–2019 and 2020–2024. We then estimated how changes in the composition of CAP spending were associated with these outcomes. The viewer accompanies LAMASUS Policy Brief 004 (link to follow). Methods are described in the methodological supplement (link to follow). The underlying regional data can also be explored in the LAMASUS Data Explorer (link to follow).
1. Map. Choose an indicator and a period above the map. Hover a region for its figures. 2. Country. Click any region to select its country. The panel on the right shows how the whole country did, compared with the EU and with its median region. 3. CAP mix. Move the sliders to shift money between CAP instruments. The total budget stays fixed. The table below the sliders shows the estimated impact of your mix compared with the current plan.
